It’s an auction based system in which advertisers bid on available ad spaces in which to place their ads. Mobile RTB advertising necessitates access to mobile ad exchanges in order to bid on available ad inventory to place advertising creatives. This exchange of ad space between publishers and advertisers happens on a real-time basis, and many advertisers do not have to resources or experience necessary to successfully acquire quality ad traffic at the scale needed to drive effective mobile marketing campaigns.
